spelling bee-atches.
It never ceases to amaze me the stuff that people spell incorrectly. While I’m a firecracker of a scrabble player I’ll admit that I’m not a great speller, but that being said stuff like this (idiomatic foreign expressions that you think are innate in people’s internal dictionaries, but aren’t) will always make me laugh:
bare-legged freaks
I know that Tim Gunn has an aversion to leggings but even worse than leggings has got to be women who wear miniskirts without tights on a cold winter’s day. Aside from the fact that I just feel shame for them and their wholly inappropriate wardrobe choice, I don’t really think anyone wants to see their pasty white legs covered in goosebumps. Maybe I’m wrong?

My neighbor Gene pointed out to me the artwork on the latest issue of NYC flavorpill and after some brief research I discovered Michael Pajon. Shrigley Melodies.
One of my favorite illustrators, David Shrigley just put together a concept album fusing his lyrics with the musical savvy of some of indie music’s finest acts, including: Cibelle, Deerhoof, Islands and Grizzly Bear. There’s also going to be a little performance in three cities, NYC being one of them. Here’s the flyer:
